The Discover Grant for Undergraduate Summer Research (sponsored by the Schwartz Undergraduate Research Fund) supports exemplary students completing summer research projects at the University of Rochester. Two SCP Lab research assistants have been awarded the grant for Summer 2022: Daniella Deis and Chenyuan Qu.
Chenyuan’s project will investigate the correlation between romantic couples’ Theory-of-Mind abilities and their relationship quality.
Daniella’s project will assess the relationship between empathy, emotional support, and relationship satisfaction using data from a self-report questionnaire.
Both projects will be using data from the lab’s ongoing Couples in Sync Study.
