Group Culture

Our research group covers a full spectrum of personnel. Members include undergraduate and graduate students, a post-doctoral research associate, and a visiting professor. Each member is unique for the group.

Unlike some other research groups that run like corporations, our group runs in a more casual way. We value each member’s personal learning, growth, as well as their work-life balance. We help each other in any possible way. We deeply believe that it’s the only way to keep our research environment healthy and successful.

Being an advisor is not simply a job of teaching and educating. To me, it is my passion. You need to treat your students as your children – help them learn, guide them to grow, give them freedom to develop themselves, trust them, and encourage them when they make mistakes (I believe learning from failures is the key to personal growth).
