Welcome to the Quantum Nanophotonics Group! We are located in the Institute of Optics at the University of Rochester. Our research projects span quantum optics, nano photonics and condensed matter physics. We are particularly interested in solid-state and photonic approaches to quantum science. A common theme in many of our efforts is to understand and control the nanoscopic pathways critical to light-matter interaction to elicit desirable macro-scale optical and electronic responses. The previous provides many opportunities for fundamental science investigations that find application in diverse areas such as optical communications, scene characterization, information processing and novel sensing architectures.
